Tara Rice, MPH, MCHES

 

NJ SOPHE history: Tara joined NJ SOPHE in 2017 and shortly afterward, was asked to take on the role of Advocacy chair.

Bio: Tara is a Health Promotion and Patient Experience Consultant and has spent the last 15 years working to help improve the health care experience for people living with chronic and/or life-threatening illnesses.  Tara has her Master’s Degree in Public Health (MPH), and is a Masters Certified Health Education Specialist (MCHES). Before transitioning to her role as a consultant, Tara provided patient education and bedside yoga therapy in various clinical settings including Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center, NYU Medical Center, and Beth Israel Medical Center. She lives in Cranford, New Jersey with her husband, Kevin, and her two sons, Frankie and Richie.
