"I am extremely thankful to NJSOPHE for being awarded the Karen Denard Goldman scholarship! This scholarship financially helped me apply for doctoral programs, allowing me to further my education. Through this scholarship, I have also been fortunate in that I have met multiple people who have shared inspiring memories of Karen Denard Goldman and her work in the field, inspiring me to continue my work in Public Health. Being involved in NJSOPHE, and receiving this scholarship has allowed me to meet more people, has introduced me to some of my mentors, and financially helped me with my dream of pursuing a doctoral degree."

"Being awarded the Karen Denard Goldman Scholarship was an honor for not only myself but my family, colleagues, and professors as well. The scholarship assisted me financially during a semester where I was taking 5 graduate courses and commuting regularly to school and several jobs. Having this support and being recognized by NJSOPHE for my efforts in the field of public health motivated me even further. This past May I completed my Master of Public Health with honors at Montclair State University. I look forward to continue making contributions to the rewarding field of public health.
