Robin Vlamis, MPH, CHES
NJ SOPHE history: Robin has been a member of NJ SOPHE since 2005. She started out as chair of the Awards & Scholarships committee and then led the Strategic Planning & Monitoring Committee for 3 years. In 2017 she served as President-Elect and is currently NJ SOPHE’s President.
Bio: Robin works as a freelance Health Educator Behavioral Strategist in the field of health communications. She has worked in a variety of other settings, including a health insurance company, a local health department, a non-profit group, a patient clinic, and a consulting company. Using her background in health behavior change techniques, adult learning theory, and health literacy principles, Robin helps develop patient education and engagement programs and materials by gaining a deep understanding of patient needs, abilities, perceptions, knowledge, skills, challenges, and drivers.
Robin graduated from Cornell University with a Bachelor of Science and then obtained her MPH from New York University. She lives in Morristown with her husband and 3 young children.
