NJSOPHE history: Devangi has been a member of NJ SOPHE since 2011 and has been serving as Technology Committee Co-Chair for over 8 years.
Bio: Devangi Patel is the Health Educator for the Montgomery Township Health Department. She earned a Masters of Public Health in Health Education and Behavioral Science from the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey, a Bachelors in Psychology from Rutgers University and is a Masters Certified Health Education Specialist. She has previously worked as a Breast Health Outreach Coordinator for Somerset Medical Center, as the New Jersey Outreach and Quality Coordinator for Policy Studies, Inc. and Maximus, Inc. and as Enumerator for the United States Department of Commerce and Statistics, Bureau of the Census.
Her areas of interest and expertise include chronic disease prevention and management, mental health and wellness, health education and community engagement program planning, and digital public health. She coordinates the public health education program and national public health accreditation activities in varying capacities for Montgomery Township, and through Public Health shared service agreements, with Princeton, Branchburg Township, Hopewell Borough, Pennington Borough, and Rocky Hill Borough service areas.
