Linda Brown, MPH, MCHES
NJ SOPHE history: Linda has been a member of NJ SOPHE since 2010. She has been serving on the Executive Committee since 2011, first as the Continuing Education Committee Chair. She transitioned into the Chair of the Program Committee, where she still serves. She is also a member of the Advocacy Committee.
Bio: Linda received a BA in Health and Exercise Science, with a Specialty in Health Promotion and Fitness Management from Rowan University, followed by a Master in Public Health with a concentration in Community Health, from West Chester University of Pennsylvania.
Linda’s career has primarily included government based public health work, as well as teaching at several schools as an adjunct. Previously, Linda worked as the Health Educator for the Edison Department of Health and Human Services, as well as instructing undergraduate students at Rowan University and Middlesex County College. Currently, Linda works as a Health Education Consultant, working with Freehold Area Health Department and Westfield Regional Health Department, as well as the Executive Assistant for the New Jersey Association of County and City Health Officials (NJACCHO). Linda also serves as a Part Time Lecturer at Rutgers University.
