Bio: Kelly McLaughlin has over 14 years of experience in the field of public health education specializing in prevention programming, consultation, and project management. Kelly is currently employed at the New Jersey Department of Health (NJDOH), Communicable Disease Service where she is the HAI/AR Health Education and Outreach Unit Lead for the Infection Control, Healthcare, and Environmental Epidemiology Program. She leads a team of health education specialists and infection control specialists who train frontline healthcare professionals in the proper infection prevention and control protocols to reduce the incidence of healthcare-associated infections and antibiotic resistant organism’s in healthcare settings. Kelly is also a part-time Adjunct Professor at The College of New Jersey and Atlantic Cape Community College. In addition, Kelly volunteers her time as the current Membership Chair for NJSOPHE and recently completed her two year term as Co-chair of the Sisters in Public Health Philadelphia Chapter. Kelly has a Master’s Degree in Public Health from the University of New England and a Bachelor’s Degree in Health and Exercise Science with a specialization in Health Promotion and Fitness Management from Rowan University. She is also a Master Certified Health Education Specialist through NCHEC and a member of the Delta Omega Honor Society. In her free time, Kelly loves to go surfing, play pickleball, travel, read, cook, and spend time with her friends. |
