NJSOPHE history: Sarah has been a member of NJSOPHE since 2018. She was NJSOPHE’s 2018 Karen Denard Goldman Academic Scholarship recipient.
Bio: Sarah began her public health career as an Affordable Care Act (ACA) Navigator in 2016. Since then, she has earned her MCHES credentials and her work has evolved into developing and implementing strategies to improve population health outcomes. Currently, she is the Director of Health Education and PHAB Accreditation Coordinator at Bloomfield Department of Health. She also serves as an adjunct faculty member at Montclair State University, where she teaches Study of Human Diseases in the College for Community Health. Sarah earned an MD from Medical University of the Americas –Belize (defunct since 2010), a BS in Public Health and an MPH in Community Health Education from Montclair State University, and an MBA in Healthcare Administration from Miller College of Business at Ball State University.
